Touristic Information

Weather

Switzerland is a dream destination for many travelers. Summer (June–August) is warm and ideal for outdoor activities but can be crowded. If you and I love outdoor adventures, summer in Switzerland is paradise. The warmest months see temperatures between 18°C and 30°C (64°F to 86°F), though the mountain regions remain pleasantly cool. What to wear: Light clothing, sunglasses, and comfortable walking shoes for hikes. If we head to the mountains, a jacket is necessary since it can still get chilly at higher altitudes. A hat and sunscreen are must-haves, especially for long days outdoors.

Things to Do

Geneva is best known for its role as a global city of diplomacy, humanitarian values, and international cooperation. At the same time, it stands out for its natural beauty, luxury watchmaking, cultural depth, and exceptional quality of life.

Geneva is a walkable, scenic city best enjoyed by utilizing the free public transport card provided by hotels.

It's a very safe city, but standard precautions against petty theft should be taken in crowded areas like the main train station (Cornavin).
